Friday's (8/27) rain caused a severe flash flood that did significant damage to many areas of our ministry partner, River Valley Ranch.
Early estimates put the damage well over $100,000.
While we are praising God that no one was injured and that He allowed it to happen when summer camp season was over, now we need as many hands/feet to rebuild ASAP! In addition to the summer camp, RVR is also host to many church and group retreats during the off season. These repairs need to be made before the retreat season begins.

Wow!
Tracey, Mike, and Dave, Tuesday, May 27, 2008We wrapped up our campaign to send Bibles to China last week. We had a goal of sending 7,500 Bibles to China and as of late last week we were well over 10,000 BIbles.
We'll get updated numbers later today and post those tomorrow. Even though the campaign is officially over, it's never too late to help out. Each Bible only costs $4 to send and it takes just two minutes to make the call at 877-YES-WORD. You can also do this online by clicking here.
Tracey is on vacation this week. She's visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time ever. She may send us some pictures before she gets back. If we get those we'll post them.
Mike is back from the Music Boat cruise. He got quite the tan and said he loved it! He's looking forward to going again.
Dave's daughther, Grace, took her driver's license test on Friday and passed. She spent the weekend eager to run errands for the family. Wonder how long that will last? Dave also ran his longest distance yet as he trains for the RVR 5K this summer. Dave and his 12 year old son, Andy, ran 3 miles on Saturday. That's almost a 5K.
We also want to encourage you to keep praying for Steven Curtis Chapman and his family in the wake of their tragic loss. The funeral for Steven's daughter, Maria Sue, was held Saturday. It was a very moving service. You can read more about it on a special blog that's been created to keep people up to date.
