TGIM- It's Monday!

Share

Hi friends,
We had a fun morning dreaming about those responsibilities that we all have, that we'd really love to delegate to someone else.
What would it be for you?
Dave would hire an NFL referee to come and handle the bickering that goes on between his competitive kids... Boys will be boys! Mike said he'd love to assign the job of taking out the trash to someone else.. But Stacey does too much already and Matt, well, he's only 6. Just be patient Matt. Your time will come.
I would love someone else to manage my finances. I mean the whole thing! Pay my bills, invest, and give me a nice allowance to live on.  It's just one of those jobs that I don't find fun!
Listeners called in with all kinds of things they'd love to delegate. Cleaning up after cooking a big meal, working out and exercising, cleaning the house, folding laundry.. We challenged one listener who said she hated folding laundry but that she actually knew how to fold fitted sheets! I didn't think it could be done, but she sent us a video from You Tube proving us wrong!

One of my favorite ideas of the morning was a listener who is a newlywed.  She'd love to hire someone to drive her and her husband around so that instead of concentrating on driving themselves, they could just spend the time talking to one another. How romantic!

We all have things we'd love other people to do for us.. but there are some things you just can't delegate to anyone else.
We are so thankful that our Lord Jesus, who could have at any time called down legions of angels to deliver him from the agony of the cross, but didn't delegate that responsibility to anyone else. No one, but Jesus, the perfect, sinless Son of God, could die for our sins, cleansing us and paying in full the price for our sin, so that we are blameless before God. No greater love has no one than this.. That he lay down his life for his friends.   (John 15:13)
Does it get any more romantic than that?

Speaking of romance, that's what we'll be talking about tomorrow. What kinds of things do you consider to be romantic? Do you and your spouse speak the same language?  Tune in tomorrow and share your heart.. if you like that sort of thing of course....

Hope your day is filled to overflowing with His marvelous love!
Tracey

I'm alittle late on the draw, but I wanted to share my dream delegation. Cleaning my car. Seriously, I'm completely anal about keeping our home clean (I despise all dust and dirty floors!!!!!), yet I have owned my car for more than 2 years now, and have never cleaned its interior. Did you hear me? I said NEVER.

Hey finally got over to the blogs after hearing about them the past few weeks. Great stuff and thanks for all the extra sharing you're doing through them :D

(edit this out if you want) The fitted sheet video link is broken, it got www.blogger.com added to the beginning somehow so it works if you edit it in the address bar after the Not Found error comes up :)
