Hey friends!
What a fun 2 days.. We've talked about gold medal moments- the ones your kids have had and the ones you've had. Those moments when you felt so proud you thought you'd burst. Debbie Phelps has had a lot of those moments lately, watching her son win 8 gold medals. Listeners called in with so many wonderful stories. Everything from parents watching their child graduate from boot camp in the military, to a young couple staying committed to their marriage even when it seemed impossible to make it work. We heard from tri-athalon athletes who accomplished something I could never imagine doing, a young girl who went back to high school after dropping out in 11th grade and getting her diploma, and woman who finished reading through the entire bible in 90 days and a police officer who challenged others officers to have a gold medal moment and stand up for their faith...
But the most touching moment of the morning, was a call from Sonia who shared her story of hearing that her baby that she was carrying had Downs Syndrome. She courageously went through with the pregnancy and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who then went home to be with the Lord at 3 months. Sonia has no regrets and is so thankful that she will she her daughter again. God's shining moment.. Jesus on the cross makes that reunion a reality.

Yes I heard that on my way to work and I ctied as I heard that mother's heart cry for her loss. I will pray for that Mother as she walks thru this valley of grief and sadness.
