Update Day

Mike was not with us this morning. He was driving down to Kentucky for the funeral of his great grand-mother. While, the circumstances surrounding the trip are sad, there's still something about taking a long road trip that can be exciting. Mike, Stacey, and Matt (their six year old) hit the road last night. We checked in with Mike this morning a little before 7a to find how how it was going. Click here to listen.

We also talked about what we remember from the long road trips we took as kids. What games did we play to keep us busy? Tracey remembers the Alphabet Game. "I'm thinking of an "A"pple. The next person adds something that starts with a "B" and so on. The challenge is remembering what everyone else said. Dave remembers playing the License Plate game where you see how many different state's license plates you can find before you reach your destination. Hawaii and Alaska were always the biggest challenge. Erin's dad enjoyed playing the Quiet Game. A listener called in and remembers playing a different version of the Alphabet Game.

Of course, our hearts are also heavy with the news out of Myanmar. We spoke with Ken Issac of Samaritan's Purse about the challenges of the days ahead in getting relief to the people who desparately need it. Listen here

You can visit Samaritan's Purse website for updates and info about what you can do.
