Run Dave Run

This morning Dave returned from a long weekend away and talked about how his 5k training is going. Yesterday he ran a mile and a quater without stopping. It is his longest distance yet. That said, he ran with his wife Ava, who left him in her dust. She was back home long before he finished. We asked our male listeners if there was something athletic that their wives always beat them in? Several guys braved the waters and told us swimming, ping pong, tennis, even Scrabble and chess. How about you? Who wins the athletic competition in your family?

That's Dave and Ava with their oldest son Christopher last summer. Notce Dave is wearing a runner's event t-shirt before he's earned it!

We also talked this morning about the tragic situation in Myanmar with Chris Palusky from Map International. As of right now the death toll is 22,000 with 41,000 more still mssing. There are also estimates of more than a million homeless. Survivors need our prayers and support. If you missed our conversation you can listen here.

We also said goodbye to Mike as he, Stacey, and Matt head south to attend the funeral for his great-grandmother, affectionately called "Mama Sarah". Mike posted a beutiful tribute to her on this blog Monday.
