This morning we talked about a couple of plateaus. First, since it was Friday Mike gave us an update on his weight loss. Because he was in Kentucky last week for the funeral of his great-grandmother, today was the first time he had weighed himself in two weeks. He gained a pound. On the air, Mike wondered if had hit a plateau in his goal of losing 80 pounds this year. He explains more about it in his "Mike's 80 in 08 Blog".
We also had a visit from singer-songwriter Ronnie Freeman. In some ways, he also has experienced a plateau. In his case it lasted almost six years. He released his first album in 2002 and, at the time, was being promoted as the "next Michael W. Smith". Well, that didn't happen and Ronnie waited six years before recording his next album. What happened during that six year plateau? Listen here to our conversation to find out.

I didn't hear your interview this morning, but I wish I did! I LOVE Ronnie Freeman! His 2002 album is fantastic! (I don't have his latest one yet.) He's got these soothing vocals and the most amazing legato I have heard in a male artist. He's one of those artists where you buy the album for the artist, not for the songs.
And I'm sorry, I'm not a huge Smitty fan. How in the world do those two voices remotely compare? One is scratchy, the other smooth as butter! :)
