I know it is hard to believe but the life of a Christian radio broadcaster isn't all glamor and glitter. We also have to spend time in fun and exciting meetings (can't you tell??). I wanted to show you how I am able to get up at 3:30AM and still survive our meetings. I call it "Talk To The Cup!" - Mike

Hi friends!
Do you ever put people in your life on a pedestal and get very disappointed when you discover that they really aren't perfect after all?
Part of growing up, for me, has been learning to give the people in my life permission to be "human". I tend to hold those I love in such high regard, that I place very high expectations on them.
Really it's their fault. If they weren't so wonderful to me most of the time, I wouldn't keep expecting them to be so.. So they started it.
Isaiah 2:22 says, "Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
The only One who will be perfect always is the Lord. It's not fair to expect people to get it right all the time. Lord knows, I don't get it right all the time.
When you've been disappointed in someone, offer them grace, pray for understanding. And then, let it go.
Remember, some people may act and look like superheroes- but really, they're human just like you are.
