Lives are changed!

Share

Mike met Carlos in the town of Campinas where he has three of his four children in the nearby Compassion Center. Carlos and wife came to faith in Jesus through the church that runs their Compassion project. Even though Carlos has been looking for a job for two years he knows that the Lord is with him and taking care of his family's needs with the help from Compassion sponsors in the US. Please pray for Carlos and his family.

Friday

As we wrap up the week we are looking ahead to next week and Tuesday when our Three Days of Compassion starts. We have, what feels like, an overwhelming goal of finding sponsors for 1000 children in three days. We know the economy is tough, and $32 a month is a sacrifice, but we want to ask you to pray about this opportunity and also for our campaign.

Because it's Friday we wrapped the week with our Week in Review. It'll probably be remembered as "Joe the Plumber Week" when all is said and done. If you missed it you can listen here.

Matt Stover with the Ravens also joins us every Friday. Matt's a solid Christian who desires to bring glory to God through the incredible platform God has given him. If you missed our conversation this morning you can listen here. Dave started by asking Matt about the mood in the locker room after last Sunday's loss to the Colts.

On Monday we want to know what you LOVE about your job. Sometimes it's tough to return to work after a nice weekend, so we hope to be an encouragement as you head back.

One Week From Today!

Share

One week from today we begin our annual Three Days of Compassion campaign. In the past seven years, WRBS listeners have sponsored more than 5000 children through Compassion International. This year we hope to find sponsors for another 1000! With the economy as it is, that's going to be a tough challenge. We hope you'll consider praying for our campaign and maybe even sponsoring a child yourself. It's only $32 a month...that's less than $1 a day to help change a life. And it really does change lives. We've seen it first hand. We'll be talking more about this wonderful ministry this week and next week you'll have the opportunity to respond.

Mike was not the only Futbol player to show his fancy footwork on the field...not that it changed the outcome! ;-)

As always...Kids are kids, no matter where you go! We will never forget Brazil and her people.
