A Moving Story

Share

This morning we were touched by the news story out of Texas about JC and Josie Cox. This past Christmas they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Last week both JC, who was 100, and Josie, who was 96 died. In fact they died just five hours apart. We talked with their granddaugther, Marla Williamson, at 8:30a this morning. It was a very moving few minutes. If you missed it you can listen here.

Here's the newspaper story about Marla's grandparents.

Tommorow it's First Friday and we'll be at the Chick fil A in Glen Burnie between 6a - 10a. We'll be giving away Hawk Nelson tickets, Tracey has her clarinet for another round of Name That Tune, we'll debut our First Friday theme song, and everyone who stops by gets a free Chicken Bisquit.

This morning you were talking about being filled with unspeakable joy. There is nothing more to that fact then when God answers your prayers and your deepest hearts desire. The day our daughter was born was the most joyous day for me. You see I had a baby girl 23 years ago and placed her for adoption and 14 years after that God blessed me with another daughter. The second she was born I was filled with complete joy and wepted. God understood my tears that day as he did 23 years before that. Thanks for listening and keep up the good work. Good is good. Amen
